Technology Alliance Elects New Chair, Six New Board Members
SEATTLE, April 12, 2004 - The board of the Technology Alliance (TA), a statewide consortium of business and technology leaders dedicated to Washington's economic success, recently elected Tom Alberg, Managing Director, Madrona Venture Group, as its new Chair. Alberg, a member of the board since the TA's inception in 1996, succeeds Steve Davis, President and CEO of Corbis. Davis will continue to serve on the board as Chair Emeritus.
The TA board also welcomed six new members, who were elected to three-year terms:
- Scott Bergquist, Northwest Division Manager, Silicon Valley Bank
- Kevin Cable, Executive Vice President and Founder, Cascadia Capital
- Cheryl Scott, President and CEO, Group Health Cooperative
- Bradford L. Smith, Senior Vice President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary, Law & Corporate Affairs, Microsoft
- Christopher Somogyi, Managing Director, Stratos Biofund
- Jim Voelker, Chairman and CEO, InfoSpace
