Susannah has served as Executive Director of the Technology Alliance since its inception in 1996. She oversees the operation of all TA programs and directs all research and policy activities undertaken by the organization. Susannah works closely with the TA Executive Committee and Board to develop and implement strategic initiatives that advance the organization's goals in education, research and entrepreneurship.
Policy & Communications Director
Drew coordinates TA policy activities, including our participation in coalitions, top policy priorities, and program development for the Technology Institute. Along with the Executive Director, he is a liaison with lawmakers, members of the tech industry, and the community, seeking ways for all parties to work together toward a more prosperous state economy. Drew also manages communications and research for TA, including economic studies, presentations, special reports, online content, and media relations.
Program Manager, Ada Developers Academy
Karen oversees the operations of Ada Developers Academy, a program dedicated to creating more opportunities for women in the tech industry. She manages student admissions and internship placements, and serves as their point-person for all non-curricular needs. Karen is also the primary point of contact for all industry partners, mentors, and volunteers, and coordinates Ada's presence both online and in the wider community.
STEM Outreach Project Director
Karen leads the TA's efforts to improve STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. Working in partnership with school districts and education programs throughout Washington State, Karen manages the implementation of a new initiative aimed at engaging educators, students, and community members with computer science in a meaningful and accessible way through the design and creation of apps.
William H. Gates Sr. Fellow in Innovation & Entrepreneurship
As the William H. Gates Sr. Fellow, Esther is responsible for outreach to research institutions, entrepreneur organizations, and the early stage investor community on behalf of our Innovation Showcase program. She screens and coaches participating companies, and helps to connect innovators with the resources they need to successfully commercialize new technologies. Esther is an MBA candidate at the University of Washington.
Membership & Sponsorship Manager
Katy manages sponsor relations and organizes board development activities for the TA. She also coordinates the planning and execution of the State of Technology Luncheon, the TA's largest annual event with an audience of 800+, and handles logistics for the biennial Technology Institute retreat and annual Innovation Summit.
