Susannah has served as Executive Director of the Technology Alliance since its inception in 1996. She oversees the operation of all TA programs and directs all research and policy activities undertaken by the organization. Susannah works closely with the TA Executive Committee and Board to develop and implement strategic initiatives that advance the organization's goals in education, research and entrepreneurship.
Becca Lee provides administrative support to the executive director and handles meeting logistics and event registration. She provides general support for a variety of TA programs and projects, including the Science & Technology Discovery Series, STEM Challenge, and the Innovation Showcase.
STEM Outreach Project Director
Karen leads the TA's efforts to improve STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) education. Working in partnership with school districts and education programs throughout Washington State, Karen manages the implementation of a new initiative aimed at engaging educators, students, and community members with computer science in a meaningful and accessible way through the design and creation of apps.
Director of Policy & Communications
Kristin develops content for a variety of TA communications, including presentations, brochures, e-news, and special reports, and coordinates media relations for TA events and projects. She also coordinates TA policy activities, including development of the TA's policy priorities and messaging, participation in coalitions, and program development and speaker recruitment for the Technology Institute policy retreat.
Membership & Sponsorship Manager
Katy manages sponsor relations and organizes board development activities for the TA. She also coordinates the planning and execution of the State of Technology Luncheon, the TA's largest annual event with an audience of 800+, and handles logistics for the biennial Technology Institute retreat and annual Innovation Summit.
William H. Gates Sr. Fellow in Innovation & Entrepreneurship
Catherine is responsible for outreach to research institutions, entrepreneur organizations, and the early stage investor community on behalf of our Innovation Showcase program. She screens and coaches companies and helps to connect innovators with the resources they need to successfully commercialize new technologies. Catherine is an MBA candidate at the University of Washington.
