TA Board Welcomes Four New Members
The board of the Technology Alliance welcomed four new members from diverse corporate backgrounds to its ranks at its September 23rd meeting.
The new members, who were elected to three-year terms, are as follows:
Rob Arnold is President & COO of Geospiza, Inc., a leader in DNA sequencing analysis and data management software used in research. Prior to joining Geospiza, Mr. Arnold created and sold two technology companies: Crossport Systems, an innovator in broadband security solutions, and ST Labs, Inc., a software testing and quality assurance firm. He founded Seattle's first bio-IT special interest group, ArrayBio, and was selected as one of the Puget Sound Business Journal's "40 under Forty" in 1998.
Dave Curry is President and CEO of World Wide Packets, a pioneer in Ethernet broadband connectivity. Previously, Mr. Curry co-founded Architel Systems, the first telecom OSS product and services provider in Canada, and held a range of senior management positions at Bell Canada. While at Architel, he led the company to an IPO and listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange and spearheaded a partnership between Architel and Spokane-based Itron. Mr. Curry was designated Canadian Entrepreneur of the Year in 1996.
Randy Hassler is Vice President for Quality and Operations at Amgen in Washington State, and in this capacity serves as top operations manager for the company in the region. Prior to this position, Mr. Hassler served in a number of vice president positions at the company's California headquarters. He joined Amgen upon the acquisition of Synergen, where he previously served as Director of Process Development. Mr. Hassler holds several patents and published papers in process development.
Kris Klein is Vice President and Managing Partner at Hitachi Consulting, a global business and IT consulting company. Mr. Klein serves as Managing Vice President of Hitachi's Pacific Northwest practice and is responsible for the company's National Manufacturing Industry practice. Prior to joining Hitachi, he held executive positions at Primus Knowledge Solutions, Inc. and Arthur Andersen Business Consulting.
