What is the State of Technology Luncheon?

The State of Technology Luncheon is a must-attend event convening over 600 of Washington’s top business, education, research, and government leaders. Each year, we deliver fresh insights and meaningful comparisons that benchmark Washington’s innovation economy—exploring key areas like education, research capacity, and access to capital.

This year’s theme, Trust, Transformation, and Tomorrow, speaks to the pivotal moment we’re in—and what’s ahead. We’ll hear from leaders who are shaping the future of technology across our state and beyond.

The 2025 program features a keynote conversation with Brad Smith, President & Vice Chairman of Microsoft, in honor of the company’s 50th anniversary. He’ll be joined by Jonathan Sposato, serial entrepreneur, Chairman of GeekWire, and owner of Seattle Magazine. Together, they’ll look ahead to the next 50 years of tech innovation—and what it means for our region.

Past speakers have included Satya Nadella, Reid Hoffman, Brad Tilden, and Jeff Bezos. No matter what sector you're in, this event offers invaluable ideas, inspiration, and connections. (And yes, a great table gift.)
