The Discovery Series is a monthly luncheon program that highlights new discoveries and cutting-edge technologies across the innovation spectrum with exclusive presentations from our state’s leading researchers and technologists. The program is designed for business and community leaders who want to stay on top of important advancements being made at the innovations companies and research institutions we have in our state. Speakers are experts in their fields and have included Nobel laureates and National Academies members. 

The program will run September through June with a break in December. Past series have featured more than 180 speakers who have helped business leaders and state and local decision-makers understand the breadth and depth of research happening inside Washington state and the contributions our local researchers are making. Each program includes lunch, time for networking with other Discovery Series members, a Q&A session following the speaker’s presentation, and an opportunity to meet the speaker.

The State of Technology Luncheon is held each spring in downtown Seattle and is the Technology Alliance's largest annual event. Each year, the luncheon brings together more than 700 leaders from business, government, education and research to celebrate Washington's progress in building a vibrant innovation-based economy and gain perspectives from globally recognized leaders in science and technology.
